Lunch Specials and Eating Local in OB

One of the things I really love about the beach community of Ocean Beach, CA, is how many small, locally-owned restaurants there are. The community really supports local businesses, which makes dining out around town a great place to mingle and meet others throughout the community.

In the video above, I visited Raglan Public House for their $15.99 lunch special, which includes one of their delicious burgers, some fries, and a beer! 🙌

One thing I hear quite often from restaurant management and owners is that winter is a quiet time of the year for their business. While this may be true in some parts of the country, San Diego draws people year around...but in a place like Ocean Beach, where community involvement reigns supreme, this is one of the best times of the year to capture the locals attention.

When droves of tourists leave the beach community, the locals come out in mass. To many, it's as if they have their local bars and restaurants back. As a restaurant manager or owner, this is the time to introduce your specials and get locals to spend more time at your establishment.

THINK LOCAL. SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESS!
